"ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE ORGANIZER

Dear Enduro riders,

As many of you already know, the 9-10th round of Hungarian and Slovakian Enduro Championship, which would have been held on 24-25th August in Istenmezeje, has to be canceled.

The town and the citizens have been waiting for so long to stand next to the track after many years.

The organizing team did its best to make a succesful event, but now it has not been enough. Despite the amount of work and energy invested, this time we are facing a situation that we could not handle in such a short time. During the weekend we had a meeting with the local hunting association and it did not result positively, which was the criteria of the forest owner’s consent. The hunting association is disturbed by the enduro life in the area and by all other recreational activities in the forest and is completely separated from any form of cooperation. It is our opinion and experience that keeping it within the legal framework of sport would have been beneficial to everyone but to our greatest regret this opinion was not shared by the president of the local hunting association.

Until today we were hoping that the race would still be organized, but by the afternoon it had become clear that this would not be possible at the original time!

Depending on the negotiations of the next few days, it will be decided if we can organize the race at a later date. We are planning a race in late autumn in Istenmezeje, where we hope to compensate the riders for the inconvenience of the canceled round!
